There are all kinds of online girl games out there. Sure, when you think of games you think of the arcade or multi-player virtual games that are so common, but there are other games that specifically apply to girls. They are designed for and maintained for a female audience, and I personally think that is awesome.
Too many webmasters and their sites are geared at who and what they know – boys. Sometimes girls like the same things boys do, but other times we’re just not amused by bloody penguins or shooting things.
Girls like community activities or games that require a bit of thought. Anime games are popular as well as coloring pages and MMORPG games. Virtual reality is always a hit and anything with a bit of creativity and role playing is fun.
Fortunately for us, more and more webmasters are catching on. Half of the people online are girls, and we want our own games! As I stumble across them or if you recommend one, I’ll be sure to take a peek and write it up here so we can all try out the latest and greatest in online girl games.

The Doll Palace, or www.thedollpalace.com, offers a full online community specializing in dollz and coloring pages. The site is full of adorable dolls that are already created and the doll makers that let you dress up your own. It’s hard to not get into the spirit of things when you start messing around with the doll makers.
The latest doll maker is for Girl Scouts. I was a Girl Scout once upon a time, so I thought it was critical to give the maker a try. The first thing I noticed was that the bases used for the dolls are a lot like Barbie. i.e. They don’t come with underpants. This isn’t a big deal unless your little brother is next to you, though.
I picked out my base and started playing around. There were hundreds of faces, hairstyles and clothing items. I could have spent hours just fooling around. And the best part? It may technically be a maker for Girl Scouts, but most of the items could have been for any girl, not just girl scouts. You can check out my little creation here in the review.
Dress up games aside, there are also quite a few coloring pages. Apparently this is a newer section that is gradually building up. The pages are neat and if you don’t want to color any of the pages that are made from actual dolls on the site, you can upload your own and just play with the paints. Judging by the number of uploaded page, I’d say coloring pages are pretty popular.
When I got tired of trying new things, I just wandered around the site for a little while to see what a “doll community” is really all about. There were chat rooms, forums, cliques and articles. Members of the community had written a lot of stories and articles about their doll creations or other things, and the site provides a lot of articles and stories, too. Some of the articles, like the fur one, really got people worked up judging by the comments. Others were just fun to read because of the illustrations…but I digress.
Overall, I was very impressed with The Doll Palace and can see why so many people get addicted to sites like this. There is a ton of stuff to do and it’s all fun! I give it two thumbs up.

Girl games online are not as easy to come by as boy games. There are simply not as many girl games out there. Why not?
Because most of the people that set up websites are boys!
If boys are setting up the sites, than they aren’t usually thinking about the “other” half of the internet – girls!
But don’t worry. I’m looking out for the girls out there in cyber land. Why? Because I’m a girl! Sure I may work in a world of men, but I have no interest in doing “guy things.”
There are too many good girl websites out there that need some attention.
My plan is to showcase and review websites with online girl games, offer some advice, write a little bit about things girls like, and maybe even answer some of your questions.
Have a suggestion or comment? Email me about it and I’ll see what I can do!
Look for the first girl website review later this week!
Thanks!
Rebecca
